Waterman & ʻĀina Guardian
I've always had a deep passion for photography and video editing since I was young. Although, some of my best waves have happened off-camera at spots not suited for filming. I love seeing my surfing moments captured, and I’ve managed to create two edits from the surf and adventure clips I have. Watching my progress from my first edit, Kau Wela, where I was surfing the South Shore, to Heʻe Nalu 2022, where I moved to the North Shore, shows just how much my surfing has evolved. It’s incredible to see the growth and the new levels I’ve reached since then.
Born and raised on the island of Oʻahu, I deeply embraced myself with Hawaiian culture and developed a strong connection to the ʻāina. This bond fuels my passion for fighting climate change and plastic pollution. Through my videos, I strive to capture the beauty of our natural world and highlight the pressing environmental issues we face. Each video is a reflection of my love for the ocean and the land that has shaped me. By sharing these, I aim to inspire others to appreciate and protect our planet, advocating for sustainable practices that preserve the beauty and health of our environment for future generations.
